All-Time Strikeout King Nolan Ryan could whiff up a storm at the plate as well. Ryan struck out 55 times in 130 at-bats during the 1983 and 1984 labeling period for this Louisville Slugger K55 bat; which also explains its relative lack of use. From the look of it Ryan actually made contact with this bat less than half-a-dozen times but it does contain a couple of black ink transfers and few traces of visible stitch marks. A very light coat of pine tar has been applied to the handle and Ryan’s number 34 is written in black marker on the knob. Ryan signed the bat in blue marker between the Louisville Slugger label and branding on the barrel. PSA/DNA sticker (#1B05858) is affixed at the top of the barrel; comes with full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity, grading a GU-8. Signature authenticated by PSA/DNA as well.
