The 1926 New York Yankees won the American League with a 91-63 record and finished three games ahead of the Cleveland Indians. In what would be a seven-game series, the Yankees lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. The series will be best remembered for ending with Babe Ruth being caught stealing second base in the deciding game as the Cardinals held on to the 3-2 victory.

Offered here is an Official American League Ban Johnson stamped baseball that has 25 signatures not only from the 1926 American League Champion Yankees, but also from members of the 1926 Brooklyn Robins (the precursor to the Dodgers). The sweet spot Hall of this ball has the signatures of Famers Babe Ruth and Dazzy Vance (Brooklyn) in black pen. The east panel with “The Cushioned Cork Center” stamp has Pat Collins (Yankees), Mark Koenig (Yankees), Hall of Famers Earle Combs (Yankees) and Tony Lazzeri (Yankees) and one other. The west panel with Reach stamp has Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig, Herb McQuaid (Yankees), Sad Sam Jones (Yankees) and Mickey O’Neill (Brooklyn) and the north panel has Hall of Famer Miller Huggins, Joe Dugan, Bob Meusel,  Jack Fournier (Brooklyn) and others, while the south panel with the Ban Johnson stamp has five signatures that are difficult to make out and are signed horizontally in line with the shape of the panel. This ball comes with a LOA from JSA for the signatures.
