The W573 set is a blank backed version of the classic E120 American Caramel set. These cards were issued as this example is now, in vertical strips of ten cards. These cards were to be cut apart by the children who loved these players. This blank-backed strip measures 1-3/4” x 33” and contains the images of (in top down order) Grover Alexander, Vic Aldridge, Max Flack, Oscar Ray Grimes, Turner Barber, Frank (Dixie) Davis, Henry Severeid, John Tobin, Urban Shocker and Walter Gerber. The first five players are all Chicago Cubs while the bottom five were member of the St. Louis Browns. There are two creases, affecting the Severeid and Tobin cards. This is very seldom seen old strip of cards, still in the same form as they were issued 91 year ago.
