Graded EX-MT+ 6.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Among 112 copies recorded in PSA’s census reporting, just sixteen examples have attained a higher tier. Here's the "promo card" for Bond Bread's ambitious Jackie Robinson advertising campaign. This scarce 2-1/4" x 3-1/2", black-and-white piece's reverse presents language attributed to Robinson, implying strongly that the nutrients from Bond's bakeries factored strongly in the player's spectacular success. This is a great sample card from one of the most challenging regional sets ever made, a series that saw primary distribution in the New York area (but which may have had exposure in a couple of other markets) and which features one of baseball's most historic figures—in his rookie season! The item's traces of corner wear are inconsequential in terms of the boldly inked piece's superior aesthetic allure. Excellent to Mint-plus condition.
