2001 marked the 19th and last time Cal Ripken, Jr. would represent the Baltimore Orioles and the American League as an All-Star. Played at Seattle’s Safeco Field, Ripken would steal the show as he homered off of Chan Ho Park of the Los Angeles Dodgers for his final All-Star Game home run and was voted the game’s MVP after the 4-1 victory by the American League. Offered here is the very Baltimore Orioles cap worn by Cal during the 2001 All-Star Game in Seattle.

This New Era size 7 3/8 cap is an all-black wool model with a six-panel crown and the Orioles bird logo embroidered on the front in orange, black and white. The 2001 All-Star Game logo is embroidered on the left side and the back has the MLB logo embroidered in the Orioles’ colors. The underside brim is gray and this cap displays outstanding game use with dirt, soil and sweat stains present. The size 7 3/8, MLB AUTHENTIC COLLECTION and New Era tags are all sewn on the white inside sweat band. Ripken has signed this cap in silver marker on the top brim and a tag that has “2001 ALL-STAR GAME” handwritten is attached to the AUTHENTIC COLLECTION tag on the inside. This comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany this hat.
