During the two seasons this bat dates to, 1993-1994, Cal Ripken, Jr. hit .281 for Baltimore and slammed 88 extra base hits, all the while playing every single game as he pursued Lou Gehrig’s record of 2,130 consecutive games played. The Louisville Slugger P72 model bat displays outstanding game use and comes directly from Cal’s personal collection. The barrel is covered with ball marks that include white leather scuffs and blue ink transfers. There is slight checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the back barrel and the barrel has bat rack streaks. There is a coating of pine tar on the handle. A real Hall of Fame gamer. This bat comes from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany this bat. Additionally, there is a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19780) for the game use and has been given the highest possible grade of GU 10.
