Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. used this Louisville Slugger P72 model bat during practice in preparation for the 1996 MLB All-Star Game played at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. The National League, led by Hall of Famer Mike Piazza, defeated the American League 6-0 in what would be their last victory until 2010. Ripken’s Louisville Slugger displays outstanding use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers, white leather scuffs and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel.  The barrel has a long strip of athletic tape affixed that has been labeled “All Star Game 96 Phil. BP”. This bat comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA will accompany this bat.
