Offered here is a House Resolution from the Maryland House of Delegates dated February 16th, 1996 that was presented to Hall of Famer and baseball’s Iron Man Cal Ripken, Jr. The resolution reads “Be it hereby known to all that The House of Delegates of Maryland offers its sincerest congratulations to CAL RIPKEN, JR. in recognition of THE RECORD YOU HAVE SET FOR THE WORLD WITH YOUR OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO PERSONAL EXCELLENCE. YOU ARE TRULY “THE PRIDE OF MARYLAND”.” A gold seal with a yellow and navy ribbons is affixed to the lower corner and this document has been framed to a 14 x 17-inch dimension. This comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany this item.
