Graded NM 7 (OC) by PSA. Hall of Famer. One of the most important figures in sports collectibles, the legendary Babe Ruth, dominates the front of this exceptional piece. The "Bambino" not only changed the way the game was played, but, additionally, historians credit the flamboyant athlete with saving the sport of baseball. (In the wake of the 1919 "Black Sox" scandal, many of the fans who had packed stadiums in previous years lost interest in the pastime. But, once the Babe was traded to the New York Yankees before the 1920 season, their collective enthusiasm was revived.) This desirable item boasts the finest-imaginable definition and brightness in its cardfront illustration. Traces of past handling are present at the right side, along with miniscule amounts of edge wear, but the clarity and boldness of the subject's likeness overwhelm those technically assessed, minor frailties. Clean Near Mint condition (qualified as noted), with incontestably spectacular visual character.
