Kobe Bryant finished his NBA career in style, pouring on 60 points against the Utah Jazz to lead the Lakers to a 101-96 victory on the last day of the 2015-16 NBA season. Bryant, playing in his 1,346th NBA game, shot 22-of-50 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line, giving the devout Lakers following at STAPLES Center one final taste of the “Mamba Mentality” that brought an incredible five NBA titles to Southern California. A showman since his days at Lower Merion High School in suburban Philadelphia, Bryant’s final performance was a seminal part of his legacy, especially after an Achilles injury suffered in 2013-14 threatened to derail the autumn of Bryant’s 20-season career. An 18-time All-Star, Bryant was posthumously inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020.

Offered in this lot is a signed pair of Nike Kobe XI Elite sneakers gifted during his final game. This is the same model of shoe as Bryant wore during his historic outburst against the Jazz on April 13th, 2016. The sneakers are black, with a gold Nike swoosh applied to both sides of the shoes. Bryant’s personal logo is applied to both tongues in black. The Hall of Famer has signed the outside of both shoes in gold marker. The shoes each come with a PSA/DNA LOA (AB08046, AB08047) and a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication.
