Most times when a new franchise enters a league, the league welcomes them by voting the All-Star game to their city and venue. Often, this venue has been recently built with all the modern upgrades and the league wants to show if off. Such was the case with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA, who entered the league for the 1989-90 season, and were rewarded with the 1994 NBA All-Star Game. This is a big time event for a new franchise, and the city pulls out all the stops. Events, signs and banners are everywhere. This very large banner was displayed in the Target Center Arena during All-Star game weekend. This almost 4 x 15 foot gray canvas banner has the NBA logo on one side and the All-Star Game logo on the other with a handful of snowflakes spread about. Bookended by these logos is a classic Midwestern welcome of “The NBA and the Greater Minneapolis Convention and Visitors Association Welcome You to the 1994 NBA All-Star Weekend.” This is a tremendous display piece, one of the largest we have ever offered! Excellent condition.
