As the greatest base stealer of all time, Rickey Henderson has achieved many milestones. One was breaking the New York Yankees All-Time stolen base record on July 14, 1988 against the Baltimore Orioles by stealing second base in the top of the 11th inning, breaking Hal Chase's record of 248. This regulation base shows all the signs of great game use with dirt marks, scuffing and underside use. IT has been signed "Rickey Henderson 24" across the top and marked by Rickey on the underside on each corner with "24", "RH", "24" and "RH" again. The base still has the original ground post, which makes this base extremely unique. LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number U69533 for the signature. This is a great item, given to our consignor (who ran the New York Yankee charities) personally by Henderson.
