The incomparable Michael Jordan wore this Chicago Bulls home uniform (including jersey and shorts) in 1991. These were the early days of Chicago’s first dynasty, with Jordan leading the Bulls to their first of three-consecutive NBA titles in 1990-91. The historically great Jordan won fifth-straight scoring title in 1990-91, scoring an average of 31.5 points per game with 6.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per contest. The 1990-91 and 1991-92 NBA MVP, Jordan began to build his legacy in earnest during the early 1990’s, going from high-scoring superstar to NBA bogeyman, haunting defenders and flummoxing opposing coaches with his ferocious play on both offense and defense. Jordan won a total of six NBA titles with Chicago and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009.

The jersey offered in this lot is a white Bulls home jersey, with “BULLS” and Jordan’s number “23” printed on the chest in red and black. “JORDAN” is applied to the back shoulders in red lettering, while a second “23” is printed on the back in red and black numerals. A Champion size “46” tag is sewn on the front left tail. The jersey shows light wear. The shorts included in this lot are also white, with red accents. A Champion size “36” tag is sewn on the back inside waistband. Jordan’s number “23” is handwritten on the tag in black marker. A small orange stain is present on the shorts. This lot comes with a LOA from MEARS assigning the jersey its highest possible grade of A10.
