The 1948/49 Leaf set is one of the most enigmatic creations in baseball card history. This set is skip numbered, has lots of rookie cards, includes current and former players plus contains a few very difficult variations. Leading off this hit parade at No. 1 was the pre-eminent baseball player at the time Joe DiMaggio. This example has been graded by PSA as Authentic. The front is clean with strong corners, good color and no print issues, but the reverse has areas of paper loss where the card was glued into and removed from an album. The paper loss is relegated to the corners, and most of the text remains. This is a great opportunity to obtain and original Leaf DiMaggio card, one with nice eye appeal. PSA Graded AUTHENTIC.
