You just read the description of the 1939 Play Ball #1 All-Time Finest Complete graded PSA set, and wondered where will you store those precious gems of cardboard? Well, this original 1939 Play Ball display would fit the ball. Presented is an empty one-cent, lidded display box, measuring 8" x 9-3/4" x 1-3/4". This size couldn't possibly handle all those graded cards, but it once did hold 100 penny packs of 1939 Play Ball card, back when children hurried to the corner store when word was out the new cards are here. The box top honors the 100th Anniversary of the game with "PLAY BALL - America" across the top with "BASE BALL 1839 CENTENNIAL 1939" just above a baseball diamond with the unmistakable image of Joe DiMaggio swinging a bat. Near the bottom is a historical artistic display of the "TYPES OF UNIFORMS WORN DURING THE PAST HUNDRED YEARS." While the box exhibits small lid tears, pencil writing on the top, and moderate repairs to both side-panels, this box still displays very well and will be a great accompaniment to your 1939 Play Ball collection.
