Frank Thomas aka "The Big Hurt" began his Major League career in 1990, only a single season after being drafted. He let everyone know of his hitting prowess, by hitting .330 with a .454 OBP. Based upon factory order records, the labeling period and player use characteristics, this bat was used by Thomas during the early part of his career in 1991-1992. This un-cracked 34.5 inch, 31.8 ounce WORTH block letter, WC129 model bat exhibits evidence of heavy game use with light pine tar, ball marks, stitch and cleat impressions, including blue ink transfers and some light checking of the barrel. Stamped on the knob are Thomas' initials (FT), the length (4-1/2) and model number (WC129) and his number "35" is written there in black marker. The sweet spot contains a bold, silver Sharpie "Frank Thomas #35" signature. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1B05567 for the bat, however they could not authenticate the signature. This is a great early career gamer from a certain Hall of Famer, up for his first vote in 2014!
