The All-Star Futures Game is an annual exhibition game held during Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game where minor league prospects from the United States compete against players from other countries. Started in 1999 by Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations for the MLB, the even showcases minor league players and is a part of the celebrations surrounding the MLB All-Star Game.

Presented here is an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball used during the 2010 XM Futures Game on July 11, 2010 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California signed by participant and future Los Angeles Angels star, Mike Trout. Trout showed a glimpse of his greatness when he went 2-for-4 with a double and one stolen base during the United States 9-1 victory over the World. The presented baseball features a “RAWLINGS” stamp on the north panel in blue. A “Official Major League Baseball Allan H. Selig President” stamp is located on the sweet spot in blue. An “XM ALL-STAR FUTURES GAME 2010” stamp in blue appears on the south panel. Trout signed the south panel of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. The baseball displays excellent signs of game use and features dirt and hit marks. This game used baseball signed by Mike Trout comes encapsulated and authenticated by Beckett Authentication (0012127342).
