A pitcher really couldn't have a better year than Greg Maddux did in 1995 - 19-2 record, 1.63 ERA and a .905 winning percentage. To say he was dominant would be an understatement; he was almost unbeatable. The Cy Young voting that fall was just a formality and Maddux added it to the other three he'd won the previous consecutive years. Oh...and Maddux added three more wins in the post season that year, helping lead the Braves to their first World Series title since moving south from Milwaukee in 1966. Any Maddux game used jersey which comes to auction is special, but this one is more so as it dates to that special year of years, 1995. The front features the classic Braves logo and tomahawk in brilliant Navy, red and yellow tackle twill. Navy and red piping runs around the neck, front and sleeves. Back features "MADDUX" in navy tackle twill on a gray nameplate and his number "31" in Braves red and navy. The special Braves "30th Season in Atlanta" patch further dates this jersey to that remarkable season. Russell size "44" label is sewn to the lower left front tail. A simply stunning jersey which not only was game used by one of the greatest pitchers of all-time, but worn during one of the greatest single-season pitching records in the history of the game!
