Clay Buchholz was on his way to a Cy Young type season in 2013, until injuries derailed his season for two months. However, he did pitch in Yankee Stadium on June 2, throwing an abbreviated 3-0 shutout, running his season record to 8-0 in a game shortened to five innings due to rain. This road, gray button-down jersey has "BOSTON" across the chest, with the name "BUCHHOLZ" and the number "11" on the reverse, all stitched in blue tackle twill. The lower front tail has the "Majestic Authentic" patch, and a white strip tag with "11 44 '13" stitched in black indicating number, size and year. The Majestic tag has the MLB hologram, serial number EK641251, confirming this jersey was worn by Buchholz during the June 2, 2013 game at Yankee Stadium. The right shoulder has the black armband, added on the road grays to honor those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings, while the left shoulder has the ubiquitous hanging socks emblem. The jersey exhibits nice wear, with multiple large areas of light soiling, and the jersey appears to be all original with no alterations. MLB Authenticated.
