Bulls head coach Phil Jackson was always famous for thinking differently than any other coach in the NBA, and a perfect example of his individuality and creativity gave birth to the title of one of the greatest sports documentaries: “The Last Dance.” The doc focused on the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls season, the last time Jordan, Jackson & company would be together as a team. As he was known to do at the beginning of each season, Jackson came up with a “theme” for that coming year, and in 1997 he chose “The Last Dance,” which was prominently displayed on the cover of the team handbook/playbook given to each player. The 27-page document was prominently shown in the documentary of the same name and is offered here and given to Jason Caffey, along with a trove of related 1996-1998 Bulls ephemera. The playbook is in good but used condition. Along with the book there are the team issued pre-season travel schedule which offers a unique glimpse into the hectic life of an NBA player. Also included is a numbered commemorative coin issued after the Bulls 72-win 1995-96 season. A laminated guest pass to Game 6 of the 1996 NBA Finals is accompanied by 8 unused tickets and a booklet of Bulls team issued 1997 Playoff tickets. A remarkable archive of the final seasons of the Chicago Bulls dynasty featuring the now iconic “The Last Dance” playbook and playoff tickets. It is important to note this was only available to team members and this is the only copy on record as ever being available for public sale! This grouping comes with a letter of provenance from 98-98 Bulls Forward Jason Caffey as this was his personal copy of the "Last Dance" Bulls player teambook!
