Two years removed from a World Series appearance, the 1967 Minnesota Twins were poised for another American League pennant before they lost five of their last seven games. They held a one game lead with two to play, but lost both games in Boston to the Carl Yastrzemski led Red Sox. This off-white OAL Cronin ball contains 29 blue and black ink signatures (grading mostly "9-10"), including a Rookie signature of Hall of Famer Rod Carew, who won the 1967 American League Rookie of the Year award. Includes: Sam Mele (sweet spot), Ron Clark, Jim Lemon, Sandy Valdespino, Al Worthington, Jim Perry, Rod Carew ("9"), Tony Oliva ("9"), Jim Kaat, Frank Quilici, Ted Uhlaender, Rich Rollins, Bob Allison, Jim Grant, Cesar Tovar, Jim Merritt, Jim Roland, Jerry Zimmerman, Billy Martin, Rich Reese, Dean Chance, Ron Kline, Earl Battey, Early Wynn, Jim Ollom, Dave Boswell, Russ Nixon, Zoilo Versalles and Harmon Killebrew (both on label). This is a beautifully signed 1967 Twins team baseball with a rookie Rod Carew signature, plus two other Hall of Famers in Wynn and Killebrew plus Billy Martin. Since Same Mele was fired after 50 games. this is an early season signed baseball. The 1967 Twins Yearbook is very clean, grading Excellent, and is unsigned. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number. Multiple images and LOAs available at goldinauctions.com.
