PJ Axelsson was a Swedish left winger, who played his entire 11 year NHL career with the Boston Bruins. However, in 2006 Axelsson was part of the Swedish squad which took home the hockey gold medal at the games in Torino, Italy. Axelsson wore this helmet during those games. The blue helmet features the Reebox logo on both sides, the "Torino 2006" sticker on the front, with his number "22" and Swedish flag on the reverse. Inside the size 6-7/8 to 7-3/8 well-cushioned helmet is the Reebok manufacturers sticker with the date November, 30, 2005. The helmet features nice evidence of use, and was goiven by Axelsson to Boston Bruins equipment manager Peter Henderson, who authored a brief LOA (on Boston Bruins letterhead) indicating this transaction. Excellent overall condition.
