Pedro Martinez will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Boston Red Sox fans after helping the franchise end an 86-year World Series title drought in 2004. These game-used Nike cleats are consistent with the ones worn by the right-handed Martinez in the 2003 and 2004 seasons based on the red stitched number “45” on the tongues and backs of the shoes. Heavy evidence of game use is present, especially on the right toe, which features extra rubber molding to help the durability of the cleat where Martinez’s foot dragged across the mound. Dirt is still trapped The “Zoom Air” model cleats are devoid of any sizing tags. The cleats come with an LOA from Mears Memorabilia Evaluation and Research Services.
