Graded 60 EX ("EX 5" equivalent) by SGC. Hall of Famer. This number 149 "red background" version is among the scarcest and most hotly pursued of 1933 Goudey's universally coveted Ruth quartet, and the offered card is an estimable representation of its type. On this eye-catching, period item, Ruth's image is incredibly potent in its coloration. The collectible's corners show inoffensive amounts of wear at the tips, but this aspect is discernible only under close scrutiny. Bold green print, on a bright, clean white canvas, characterizes the reverse, and slightly leftward image alignment poses minimal distraction. Very lightly circulated Excellent condition.
