The 2003 Florida Marlins defeated the New York Yankees in six games to win the World Series, giving the Yankees their second consecutive Series loss. The gem weight of this is approximately 4.75 carats and the ring weighs approximately 100.6 grams.

This provides a base for the Marlin fish, with the words “MARLINS WORLD CHAMPIONS” above and below the Marlins logo on a baseball background, all encrusted with genuine rubies and diamonds. The left shank reads "WORLD SERIES - 100th ANNIVERSARY - 2003" and features the Major League Baseball logo in blue, gold and red. Also displayed on that side are the team logos of both the Marlins and their post season opponents as well as the series score in games. The Marlins logo and “4” are on the top left, while the interlocking “NY” for the Yankees and “2” are on the top right. The bottom has “4-3” and “3-1” with the Cubs and Giants logos. The right shank features a highly detailed depiction of the Championship Trophy and lists the year "2003” and the team's regular season record "91-71” plus “HOLLANDSWORTH” and his number “14”. Along the interior of the band is "INTERGOLD" and "14K" plus “FLORIDA MARLINS 049”. The ring is NM-MT condition.
