Wherever linebacker Jamie Sharper went, that NFL franchise typically had success. Sharper helped lead the Baltimore Ravens to a Super Bowl title in 2000, starred for the Houston Texans during their expansion era and later aided a 2005 Seahawks team that reached the Super Bowl before falling to Pittsburgh. This official Wilson game ball was given to Jamie Sharper following the Houston Texans’ 21-20, season-opening win over the Miami Dolphins in 2003 and reads “FISRT EXPANSION TEAM TO WIN CONSECUTIVE SEASON OPENERS” on a special white panel. The Texans beat the Dallas Cowboys, 19-10, in 2002 in their first year in the NFL. “JAMIE SHARPER” appears prominently in the center of the white panel in red writing, with three rows of text below that read “TEXANS 21 ~ DOLPHINS 20,” “SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2003,” and “PRO PLAYER STADIUM” all in navy blue writing. The left side of the panel features a Texans logo while the right side boasts the NFL logo. The football comes with an LOA from Jamie Sharper.
