The iconic image of Tug McGraw standing on the mound at Veterans Stadium with his arms raised after striking out Kansas City’s Willie Wilson in Game 6 of the World Series to clinch the Philadelphia Phillies’ first ever championship will forever live in franchise history. All of the greats’ signatures, including the deceased McGraw, appear on this wonderful baseball immortalizing the ’80 Phils. The white 1980 OWS Bowie Kuhn baseball features 31 signatures in bold, blue ink, starting with manager Dallas Green on the sweet spot of the ball, and includes Hall of Fame notables Mike Schmidt (the World Series MVP) and Steve Carlton, as well as the popular Pete Rose. Other signatures include: Lonnie Smith, George Vukovich, Marty Bystrom, Warren Brusstar, Herm Starrette, Dickie Noles, Ron Reed, Keith Saucier, Manny Trillo, Larry Christenson, Gary Maddox, John Vukovich, Del Unser, Dick Ruthven, Bake McBride, Bobby Wine, Ron Aviles, Pete Rose, Steve Carlton, Larry Bowa, Tug McGraw, Lee Elia, Bob Walk, Ruben Amaro, Keith Moreland, Greg Gross, Bob Boone, Greg Luzinski and Mike Schmidt. Randy Lerch’s signature appears under the commissioner’s stamp on the baseball. The ball is in pristine condition with no obscured signatures. The item comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
