NHL superstar Alexander Ovechkin broke into the league in 2005-06 with the Washington Capitals as the first overall pick from the 2005 NHL Draft and made an immediate impact. Ovechkin pumped in 52 goals, while adding 54 assists for a 106-point total as he was named the Calder Memorial Trophy for the NHL’s Rookie of the Year with a landslide 124 of the 129 first place votes. Ovechkin has since established himself as one of the premier players in the NHL having won the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s MVP 3 times and the Maurice Richard Award for top goal scorer 9 times. Ovechkin also led the Capitals to their only Stanley Cup title in 2018.

Offered here is one of the sticks used by Ovechkin during his rookie season of 2005-06 with the Washington Capitals. This stick is composite CCM Vector model stick has “VECTOR” painted down the sides with the “CCM” logos on each side of the Vector print. The NHL logo is also on the shaft and the butt end has been taped with white tape to enhance the grip. A sticker with the serial number (30112113) is affixed towards the butt-end and the face has white tape covering roughly half the face in the middle. Ovechkin has signed this stick in black marker towards the bottom corner of the face where it meets the shaft and this stick displays excellent game use with puck mark transfers and other abrasion marks present. A great gamer for the 2005-06 Calder Trophy winner and sure-fire Hall of Famer. This stick comes with a LOA from JSA for the signature and an LOA from the MeiGray Group (MGA24465) for the game use.
