Former linebacker Woodrow Lowe spent his entire 11-year career with the San Diego Chargers where he appeared in 164 games (151 starts) and recorded 21 career interceptions (4 for touchdowns). Presented here is a home blue Chargers jersey worn by Lowe during the 1979 season. This mesh jersey displays outstanding game use with numerous team repairs and wear marks, especially on the shoulders. Lowe’s number “51” is screen-printed in yellow on the front, back and sleeves with white paint as borders and the blue mesh bordering the yellow. The sleeves and torso are separated by a white stripe that has a yellow lightning bolt outlined in blue. The back has “remnants of a blue mesh nameplate that was above the number. The front center tail has been cut in what appears to have been a crotch strap. The San Diego Chargers jersey worn by Lowe during the late 1970s comes with an LOA from MEARS (317704) and has been given a very high grade of A9.
