The 1960-61 Boston Celtics won the NBA Championship for the third straight season, and fourth NBA title in five years. Ho-Hum. Head Coach Red Auerbach definitely lit up a victory cigar many times that season. For his efforts, Auerbach was presented this Trophy Cup by the Touchdown Club of Columbus for being voted Coach of the Year. This Silver 7.25 inch high x 9-inch wide cup is engraved with "Pro Basketball Coach of the Year 1961 WINNER OF THE WORLDS TITLE RED AUERBACH BOSTON CELTICS" Cup remains in excellent condition, and was originally part of the Red Auerbach estate sale in 2011. Comes with an LOA signed by Robert Rose, Exclusive Agent for the Red Auerbach estate.
