Offered is one of the premier display pieces of the dead ball era, the S110 Silk Pillowcase sheet with Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Frank Baker, Tris Speaker and Marty O'Toole. These colorful display pieces could be obtained only by mail in exchange for coupons packaged with Helmar and Turkey Red Tobacco. The player images of player is identical to those used in the S81 premium silk set, and almost identical to those used in the T3 Turkey Red set and the rare L1 Leather set, all of which were part of this same promotion. The pillowcase was the ultimate prize of the promotion, requiring the most coupons in exchange as 100 coupons were needed to get a pillowcase. This 22.25 x 22.25 inch pillowcase has some light staining along the edges, and on portions of each of the players, with some larger areas on the Mathewson and Baker sections. This sheet has stitch marks around the complete outer edges, which is matted out. Still, this tremendous premium displays at Excellent overall condition, and comes matted and framed to a dimension of 32 x 32 inches. This is an extremely scarce promotional/redemption premium display item issued during the early days of the game, and featuring four of the greatest players of that era including Christy Mathewson and Ty Cobb.
