Offered is a very large 74" x 62" navy blue letterman blanket. This thick wool, navy blue blanket has a gold "ND" stitched into the middle, comprised of thick chenille. The lower right corner has the name and year "Wm. Patrick Clarke, Jr. '26" chain-stitched in Notre Dame-gold thread. both top and bottom edges have intricate stitch patterns as s type of border, while the two side edges appear to be hand cut. These letterman blankets were issued to students for a second year of achievement. The blanket does not exhibit any significant wear, and minimally grades Near Mint. A very rarely seen item complete with stitched name and year.
