The 1929 Notre Dame football team was one of five undefeated clubs coached by the legendary Knute Rockne. The team went 9-0 on its way to the National Championship that season. Offered is a 17-1/2" x 35" extremely rare heavy felt banner heralding the 1929 champions. It features a raised embossed leather football in the lower right, highlighting the year. This condition is immaculate, grading in superb Near Mint condition. It also retains the original manufacturer's label "Bradford & Co., Inc., ST. JOSEPH, MICHIGAN" sewn on the back, with another tag with the name "PETE LOVE." This is a tremendous display piece, a must have for the die-hard Notre Dame fan!
