The original World Football League played their entire 1974 inaugural season, but disbanded halfway through their second season in 1975. Their memorabilia is highly desirable, and this collection includes 84 items pertaining to that defunct league. Includes: Media Guides - 1974: 13 w/League, Birmingham, Chicago, Detroit, Florida, Hawaii, Houston, Jacksonville, Memphis, New York, Philadelphia, Portland and Southern California; 1975: 12 w/League, Birmingham, Charlotte, Chicago, Hawaii, Jacksonville, Memphis, Philadelphia, Portland, San Antonio, Shreveport and Southern California; Programs - Six programs from the 1974 season (EX); Tickets - mostly full tickets, but a handful of stubs from 1974 season (2) and 1975 (49), and one sideline pass. Contract - a blank, basic contract for the "World Football League" with no date listed, although the contract will "terminate on March 31, 1976." This collection reveals a small window in to the workings of the defunct WFL, which tried to take on the mighty behemoth.
