The Late Extra Edition of the San Francisco Examiner proclaims "KENNEDY SWEEP! in 2" tall letters, ushering in a whole new age for the United States of America. This full edition of the Examiner is dated Wednesday, November 9, 1960 and features a 1/4 page photo of the smiling President-Elect. The front page relates the national election but also given prominence are the local results. The other sections of the papers are all present from the sports page to the society and movie listings. Just looking through the pages is like walking back in time, a rare glimpse of a country perched on the edge of change.
