Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Among a total of nearly 200 examples recorded in PSA’s census reporting, just sixteen copies (less than ten percent of the total population) have been placed at a higher, unqualified tier. The likeness of the legendary Red Sox outfielder shines forth beautifully from the face of this scarce card. The glorious pieces from the series produced by Wilson Franks, for only one season, are notoriously susceptible to fading and staining. No such concerns here! This collectible boasts an exceptionally fresh overall appearance. Its centering is slightly low, hardly a stigma with the issue's thin borders which allow little margin for error. Very strong, vivid color with attractive registration, as well as virtually uninterrupted original gloss, are noteworthy highlights. Williams' image is framed by pure white edges that are tipped at every aspect by well-shaped corners; these carry just barely discernible touches of wear. The reverse is the perfect complement to the front, with its deep, jet-black printing allowing almost no hint of aging. Visually appealing Excellent to Mint condition.
