Graded GEM MINT 9.5 by BGS. Hall of Famer, in an extremely desirable and scarce Rookie Card appearance. A dazzling and important Kobe collectible! The card's BGS condition report: Centering 9.5, Corners 9, Edges 9.5, Surface 10. The limited-edition piece is serial-numbered “111/150." A magnificent debut-year commemorative of the Lakers superstar and 5-time NBA Champion, in abundantly pleasing Gem Mint condition.
Unfortunately, the BGS Pop Report does not distinguish between the two versions of this collectible that have been confirmed. The "standard" version projects silver lettering on the obverse, while a much scarcer version – offered here – is missing foil highlights and the "Legacy Collection" Blue Foil Stamp. Just two other, "Blue Letter"/Missing "Legacy Collection" Stamp versions have been reported: a BGS NM-MT+ 8.5 copy and, more recently, a lesser-condition raw example. The true number of "Blue Letter"/Missing "Legacy Collection" Stamp versions released among the piece's limited production run (#/150) remains unknown, but is doubtless very small.
