The 41st President of the United States of America, George H. W. Bush was a distinguished Navy pilot who went on to lead the country after serving as Vice President under Ronald Reagan. This signed 3.5 x 6.5-inch envelope with a “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE” stamp features Bush’s signature in bold, black sharpie above a typed address to “Mr. Wm. A. Giraldin, P.O. Box 50098, Irvine, California 92619.” The first day of issue stamp, a 1999 Year of the Rabbit edition, appears in the upper right corner of the envelope in vivid red with Chinese writing and “Happy New Year!” The left side of the envelope features a picture of a rabbit under a Chinese calendar with “Official First Day of Issue” above and “Chinese New Year, 1999 – Year of the Hare” below. The entire item is in wonderful condition and would make a great addition for a presidential collector. The item comes with a Full PSA letter #T05889.
