Hall of Famer Gary Carter had a great career, most notably for the Montreal Expos and the New York Mets. However, many veteran catchers hang around and bounce from team to team, lending their experience to young catchers and pitching staffs. Cater was no exception as he played for the San Francisco Giants in 1990, his only year in the City by the Bay. It was during this season Carter broke the record for most games caught, held by Hall of Famer Al Lopez. This ONL White ball has a bold, blue ink "Gary Carter" sweet spot signature. On the west panel is inscribed, "Game used ball from 1862nd Game caught, breaking NL Record of Al Lopez, as a Giant 1990 season." The ball shows the usual game use with scuffing and some areas of dirt stains. This is a great ball singed by "The Kid" during one of his record breaking game. Basic COA from PSA/DNA for the signature, cert number U77530.
