This bat was used by "Sweet Lou" Piniella before he became a New York Yankees World Series hero. This 35 inch, 31.5 ounce Louisville Slugger M159 signature model bat is from the 1969-72 labeling period and conforms with player ordering records for the referenced period. It is slightly cracked, exhibits moderate use and displays a water stain on the top barrel. A nice, early career game from the fiery Piniella. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, grading this bat GU 8, cert number 1B07220 and an additional letter of provenance from the 1970 Yankee Stadium visiting bat boy, which dates this bat to the fan favorites 2nd season.
