The Cleveland Indians knew they had something special in second baseman Jason Kipnis when they first promoted him to the Big Leagues in 2011. He hit seven home runs in just 36 games that year, then, fast forward to 2013 and the rising star was appearing in his first All-Star game. This Wilson model “AK2 1786” fielder’s glove for right-handed throwers features Kipnis’ signature in bold, silver Sharpie on the outside thumb of the mitt with the inscription “2011 Rookie Season GU.” The cow hide glove shows great evidence of game use, including heavy wear in the palm and dirt staining on the finger tips. “JASON KIPNIS” is stitched in red on the thumb of the glove while and MLB logo patch is stitched on the outer pinky of the mitt. An “A2K” logo is imprinted on the inner palm of the glove with “WILSON” imprinted on the inner wrist. The glove comes with a full PSA/DNA LOA and certification numbers “U77525” and “1G00091.” A signed letter by Kipnis from Anderson Authentics is also included.
