The color-bordered '72 set, with exceptional star content placed among its roster, is a coveted production that marked the end, for many seasons, of releasing cards in separate series. Unopened material from this year is almost never encountered in the modern market. The offered counter-sales box contains 24 sealed, ten-cent wax packs of never-touched cards from the 1972 Topps Football issue's First Series. Potential star contents include #'s 13 Riggins, 55 Manning, 65 Plunkett, 93 Hendricks, 100 Namath, 101 Greenwood and 110 Sayers. The box concedes generally mild and routine shelf/storage wear and is protected by securely sealed "Baseball Card Exchange" plastic wrapping (with descriptive BBCE certification label, Cert. #A3982).
