Encapsulated and assessed "Authentic" by PSA, with Autograph Grade "10" by PSA/DNA. Hall of Famer. Joe DiMaggio has placed a tremendous and bold, blue ink signature on the obverse of this scarce paper heirloom. The beautiful "R312" premiums, gifted with lovingly toned pastel images of their subjects, are extremely daunting – by virtue of their large, 5-3/8" x 4" size, their inherent, thin-stock vulnerability, and their downright rarity – when pursued in the laudable state of preservation seen in the offered representative. Acknowledged by hobby consensus to be among the most appealing baseball "cards" ever issued, the release is also notable for harboring this rookie-era artifact picturing Joe DiMaggio. (His R312, in fact, supplies a colorized version of the likeness from which the obverse of the legend's 1941 Play Ball trading card is derived.) This alluring piece features a pure illustration, with album-mounting residue and a JSA authentication label adhered to the back. DiMaggio, a 1955 Cooperstown enshrinee, passed away in 1999.
