For almost 20 years, Hall of Famer Greg Maddux was the most dominant pitcher in the game. His streak of 15 or more wins for 17 straight seasons is one of those records which will may never be equaled. Only one pitcher since 1920, Warren Spahn, has more career wins than Maddux and he and Randy Johnson share the record of four consecutive Cy Young Awards. Maddux's complete career of excellence made him a first ballot Hall of Fame inductee in 2014. During the 2002 and 2003 seasons from which this home Atlanta Braves jersey dates to, Maddux won 16 games each year and an ERA of just north of 3.00. This classic white Russell Athletic button-down jersey has the Braves script above the famed tomahawk paraph in red, navy and gold tackle twill. Navy and red piping runs around the collar and down the front as well as around the sleeves. The Russell Athletic label is sewn in the lower left front tail with added size "46 100% POLYESTER" flag attached. The back has "MADDUX" in navy tackle twill letters on a matching white name plate. The pitcher's number "31" is centered on the back in bright red and navy tackle twill with Maddox signing his name on the top of the "3" in black marker. The jersey dates to the 2002 and 2003 seasons, based on the jersey being manufactured by Russell Athletic and the absence of patches on the sleeves in which the Braves had in 2000, 2001 and 2004 with Russell Athletic.  This jersey comes with a LOA from noted used baseball jersey authenticator William Henderson & Beckett Authentication (AA06993) for Maddux’s signature.
