Graded GEM MT 10 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Among more than 3,200 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting, just eight examples have been placed at this specimen's pinnacle tier. Much as America's overwhelmingly egalitarian populace is nevertheless fascinated by royal figures from other lands, the hobby loves its aristocrats. And so it is with this absolutely regal collectible of the incomparable Henry Aaron. Produced during a forever-memorable decade, while "Hammerin' Hank" was competing head-to-head, as always, with the likes of Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle, this 1964 Topps card of the future's revered Home Run King represents a memento of consummate quality. Its patrician attributes include impeccable refinement in every aspect of printing and essentially flawless edge cuts ideally placed to afford exquisite centering. The photographic likeness of the card's esteemed player subject affords a crystal-clear, glowing window to greatness. On the back, the item's white card stock allows dynamic projection of the printed words and statistics thereon: both sides look as if they were struck just recently, and have yet to fully dry. Just as this imperial collectible must have overpowered those of Mays or any other challenger at its time of issue, it is assured to claim centerpiece status in the most sophisticated collection of today. There, once again, the cream will rise to the top, regardless of the competition. Here is the ultimate 1964 Topps Aaron artifact, in fabulous Gem Mint condition.
