Presented here is an 11 x 14-inch lobby scene card from the 1941 short subject “Time Out For Rhythm” starring the original Three Stooges. The film starred Rudy Vallee, Ann Miller, and The Three Stooges and featured Rudy Vallee playing Harvard-educated Danny Collins and Mike Armstrong, played by Richard Lane, creating the most successful talent agency after a chance meeting brought them together. Mike falls in love with a singer named Frances Lewis, played by Rosemary Lane, whom Danny sees as an opportunist taking advantage of Mike. The tension caused by Danny disagreeing with Mike’s affections for Frances and the duo breaks up. Danny discovers Kitty Brown, a tap dancer played by Ann Miller, and tries in vain to find her work, but cannot. Mike gets engaged to Frances, but isn’t successful in his professional career without Danny. Danny finds an opportunity to produce his own show starring Kitty and Joan Merrill, and makes amends with Mike. Frances blackmails Danny into having her star in the show, with Mike finding out and seeing her true colors for the first time. Mike leaves Frances, and Danny an-d Mike reunite as business partners. The Three Stooges appear in the musical finale, with Curly Howard dressed up as Carmen Miranda doing the rhumba to hilarious effect. The presented scene card is labeled “TIME OUT FOR RHYTHM” across the top in green on a yellow banner. The card features the original Three Stooges sitting on a couch spurning the advances of Rosemary Lane and Ann Miller. A Columbia Pictures logo appears on the bottom left corner of the scene card. The cast is listed below the photo of the Stooges in blue lettering against a yellow background. The scene card features some elements of edging and cornering.
