The April 15, 2018 Jackie Robinson Day game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Kansas City Royals was postponed due to inclement weather, and the two teams held the makeup Jackie Robinson Day game on June 25, 2018 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Jackie Robinson Day is celebrated and commemorated by Major League Baseball to commemorate and honor the late Jackie Robinson’s debut on April 15, 1947 where he broke the color barrier in baseball. All players, coaches, managers, and umpires wear the Robinson’s number 42 in honor of the milestone.

Presented here is a game used Los Angeles Angels Jackie Robinson Day number 42 jersey worn by Angels slugger Albert Pujols during the makeup Jackie Robinson Day Game on June 25, 2018. Pujols batted 1-for-3 on the day, hitting a single in the ninth inning that threatened the Royals 2-0 lead. The Royals pitched a three-hitter against the formidable Angels lineup, with Brad Keller getting the win and Wily Peralta shutting down the Angels nascent comeback in the ninth inning to earn the save. This red, six-button jersey with silver and white trim on the collar and sleeves features “ANGELS” across the chest in red-on-navy-on-white tackle twill. The number “42” in honor of Robinson appears on the chest and back in red-on-navy-on-white tackle twill. The iconic Angels logo appears on the right sleeve, and the Jackie Robinson commemorative patch is affixed to the left shoulder. A Majestic MLB Authentic Collection “FLEX BASE” size “54” manufacturing tag appears on the jersey’s left front tail. The jersey displays moderate signs of game use and comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JD239699).
