Selected first overall in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Akron, Ohio native LeBron James made his NBA debut on October 29, 2003, against the Sacramento Kings. James put up 25 points with nine assists, six rebounds, and four steals during the Cavaliers' 106-92 loss. After posting a dismal record of 17-65 in the 2002-2003 season, James would help the Cavaliers improve to a 35-47 record, falling one game short of making the playoffs. James averaged 5.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 20.9 points per game, earning the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

Presented here is a 2003 Cleveland Cavaliers home jersey signed by the 2004 Rookie of the Year LeBron James. The Cavaliers revised the look of their uniforms for the 2003-04 season with a new logo while adding dark blue as a trim color. The white mesh pullover jersey features wine and gold trim around the sleeves and collar. The wine-colored fabric on the jersey's lateral sides features a navy, gold, and white trim pattern. "CAVALIERS" appears across the chest in wine-on-gold tackle twill. A red, white, and blue embroidered NBA logo rests upon the left shoulder of the jersey. The number "23" appears on the chest and back in navy-on-gold tackle twill. A Reebok NBA Authentics size "52" manufacturing tag appears on the jersey's left front tail. A Cavaliers “C” appears on the back collar of the jersey in wine and gold. "JAMES" appears across the chest in wine-on-gold tackle twill. James signed the number "2" on the jersey's back with a silver metallic paint pen. The jersey is bright white, the signature is clear, and features no fading or rubbing. The signed jersey comes with a COA from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAJ17974).
