With a myriad of NBA accomplishments and accolades, including five NBA titles and 18 All-Star selections and his two-time NBA Scoring champion honors, it's easy to forget that legendary Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant won his first Olympic Gold Medal while playing for the United States Men's Olympic Basketball team during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The team nicknamed "The Redeem Team," a play on the 1992 Men's Olympic Basketball team dubbed "The Dream Team" since the Men's team walked away with a bronze medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics, Bryant was named captain of a team that consisted of 11 NBA All-Stars, two MVP's that included stars LeBron James, Chris Bosch, Jason Kidd, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwayne Wade and was coached by Hall of Famer Mike Krzyzewski. Bryant averaged 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals, and 15 points per game during the Olympics, culminating with Team USA beating Spain 118-107 for the Gold medal.
Presented here is an authentic Team USA jersey signed by the USA Men's Basketball team captain, Kobe Bryant. The blue mesh jersey features white stripes encasing the collar and sleeves, with "USA" across the chest in red-on-silver-on-white tackle twill. The number "10" appears on the chest in white-on-silver tackle twill. A white Nike "Swoosh" logo is embroidered in white and rests just below a red, white, and blue "TEAM USA" embroidered logo on the right shoulder. A Nike size "XXL" manufacturing tag is located on the inside collar and features Nike and Team USA retail tags attached. Nike Team USA size "XXL" manufacturing tag featuring an American flag and an "AUTHENTIC" flag is attached to the jersey's left front tail. "BRYANT" appears in navy-on-silver tackle twill against a blue and black mesh design on the back of the jersey. A number "24" sticker is affixed to the number "0" on the jersey's back. Bryant signed the number "1" on the back of the jersey with a black marker. The signature is bold and features no bleeding, and the jersey is in excellent condition and shows no signs of wear.
