Yasiel Puig took the Major Leagues by storm in his 2013 rookie campaign. Once he was promoted mid-season, Puig literally carried the last place Los Angeles Dodgers on his back, allowing the team to ride his wave to a National League West division title. Based upon factory order records, the labeling period and player use characteristics, this un-cracked bat was used by Puig during his 2013 rookie season. This 34.5 inch, 31.6 ounce Old Hickory YP66 block letter model bat has "YASIEL PUIG" engraved on the barrel with "34.5 PRO MAPLE YP66" above. Puig's number "66" and the Dodgers emblem is on a team sticker affixed to the knob, and moderate coating of Mota stick exists on the handle. This bat shows tremendous evidence of game use with several ball and stitch marks, including blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks are also visible on the left and back barrels, while several impressions from a weighted bat donut appear above the label. In addition, a mark on the handle identifies the face grain of the bat, a mandatory marking since 2009 on all maple bats. Since Puig entered the majors, there have not been many opportunities to acquire game used Puig items, making this an extremely rare and desirable bat from one of the most exciting two-way players in the majors today. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1B07242, Graded PSA GU 9.
